Raw Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 2 1/2 cups pitted Medjool dates, loosely packet
  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  • 1 /2 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1-2 tbsp water (if needed)

Directions

  1. Prepare a 9x5 inch pan by lining with unbleached parchment paper, set aside.
  2. Using a food processor, add the walnuts and process into a fine crumb.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor, process until combined well. Should be a sticky paste like consistency. If the desired consistency is not reached, add 1 tbsp of water at a time until met.
  4. Remove the mixture from the processor and add to the 9x5 inch pan, press it down using your hands.
  5. Place the pan into the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Remove the pan and cut the brownies into squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1 week or freezer for up to 1 month.
