Ingredients

  • 2 large avocado
  • 1/4 cup of milk of choice (adjust to your desired thickness)
  • 2 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder
  • 1/2 bar of your favorite high-quality dark chocolate, melted
  • 2-3 dates pitted
  • 1/2 teaspoon of organic vanilla extract
  • Optional garnish: 1 tablespoon of cacao nibs, 1 tablespoon of shredded coconut, and fresh berries

Directions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Start by halving the avocados, removing the pits, and scooping the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend the Base: Add the 1/4 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder, melted dark chocolate, pitted dates, and 1/2 teaspoon of organic vanilla extract to the blender.
  3. Blend to Perfection: Blend all the ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pause occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well incorporated. If the mousse is too thick, add more milk a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the mousse and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding an extra date. Blend again to ensure the additional date is fully mixed in.
  5. Serve the Mousse: Spoon the mousse into individual serving bowls. If you prefer a firmer texture, refrigerate the mousse for about 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Optional Garnishing: For extra flavor and texture, top the mousse with cacao nibs, shredded coconut, and fresh berries.
